Wednesday Wisdom #13

Each Wednesday I will begin the day by drawing a divination card for inspiration and posting it here.

With a few words from my intuition, I will give you something to think about for your day and week.

Use the card as a writing prompt, or simply something to reflect on.

*I pick these cards at random, by shuffling a deck, and allowing a card to fall out on its own accord. Whilst shuffling, I ask God to show me what I need to see for this post, and all who read it. It may not resonate with you and that is ok – this is just my offering to you who reads this, it is sent with love and best wishes. Take what feels right for you, and leave what does not, for another.

(Gossip – Archetype card by Caroline Myss)

Now this was an interesting one!

Although there is a light and shadow attribute for the term Gossip on this card, and although the card came out the right way up – suggesting the light attribute – can gossip ever be a good thing?

The light attribute says :

Awakens consideration for the feelings of others. Honouring trust.

These archetype cards, are about bringing awareness to aspects of our personality. I don’t know about you,  but ‘Gossip’ is very relevant for me at the moment.

In my busy family and friendship group, the last few weeks have held many discussions.

*

We all go through challenging times, where we turn to others for support.

Women traditionally know the value of talking to our friends about our troubles.

This card however, is reminding us to maintain a level of confidence, and trust when we are confided in.

It also speaks of maintaining respect for those who confide in us.

It’s never wise to judge, pity or ridicule a person who has chosen to open up to you.

Rather, offer opinions when asked, and provide loving guidance when requested.

Don’t be afraid to speak the truth to someone who needs to hear it. But use discernment and consideration about if they need to hear it right now.

*

Communication is so important,  and with those closest to us, it is important that we feel heard.

Yet don’t be devastated if someone cannot hear you – now or ever.

My mum gave me some advice this week.

She reminded me that not everyone can understand you all of the time – and that’s ok.

Vice versa, we cannot understand others all of the time either.

*

I have a post coming out soon, about the importance of meeting new people.

As we age, and change,  we may find it harder to resonate with those that have been in our lives the longest.

So it is important to remain open to new people who get you right now, and to be open to the new you find, in those you’ve known a long time.

Also be patient with those who are discovering that new in you.

This card is about honouring the need to find, and solidify your tribe, based on authenticity.

*

This card is also about that inner voice within you. You know, the one that tells you all the things you shouldn’t or cannot do.

Is the voice you hear considerate? Is it a voice that can be trusted?

If not, reorient that voice. Play a different tune.  Make that voice echo a best friend,  who only has your best interests at heart.

What words are you telling yourself? Make sure they are wise ones.

Much love always Txx
