Each Wednesday I will begin the day by drawing a divination card for inspiration and posting it here.
With a few words from my intuition, I will give you something to think about for your day, and week.
Use the card as a writing prompt, or simply something to reflect on.
*I pick these cards at random, by shuffling a deck, and allowing a card to fall out on its own accord. Whilst shuffling, I ask God to show me what I need to see for this post, and all who read it. It may not resonate with you, and that is OK – this is just my offering to you who reads this, it is sent with love and best wishes. Take what feels right for you, and leave what does not, for another.
So this week – a very apt card!
The card that came up is the New Excercise Programme card in Doreen Virtue ‘s Butterfly Oracle for Life Changes Deck.
Though I’ve been keeping a (tiny) eye on what I’ve been eating on holiday, and doing some basic yoga most mornings, I’ve obviously been overindulging a lot more than usual.
This card is a gentle reminder for me about getting back on my exercise regime when im back in the UK.
My usual regime consists of Yoga at least 5 times a week, following my favourite Yoga lady Yoga with Adrienne on this You Tube Channel.
I find maintaining a home practice much easier than attending classes. (Though I had attended weekly classes for a couple of years before attempting a home practice.)
Yoga is my excercise of choice because of the gentle toning effect it has on my body, as well as the spiritual nourishment I feel it provides.
What kind of excercise do you feel would suit your lifestyle?
I’m a great believer in doing things you enjoy when it comes to fitness.
I’ve never ever stepped foot in a gym (to work out anyway) and I never intend to. This is because I don’t enjoy that kind of excercise, so know I would never keep it up.
I also ran for years and took part in numerous aerobic type classes before I found Yoga.
The only thing I’ve maintained has been Yoga.
Find an excercise you enjoy, that works your mind body and spirit.
In my opinion, it is only this combination that will lead to a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
Start with walking if the idea of regular excercise is daunting to you at this moment.
Every little bit of activity contributes to your health.
Dance, jump on a trampoline, skip!
Do what makes you happy and sweat a bit.
Do what makes you feel stretched and flexible.
When it comes to excercise – in the words of Nike – Just do it !
Do what you can. Start from somewhere.
Much love Txx
Ps…as Adrienne says in many videos – “no toxic thoughts!” Remind yourself that how your body looks right now is beautiful and divine. Improvements are just that – improving on what you already have. Love yourself and work on yourself from a place of love. Show patience and compassion to yourself always.
