Part One, Two, and Three saw us discuss the main principles of Ayurveda, and we took a brief look at the concept of Dosha, and the Dosha called Vata.
This post is going to focus on the Dosha called Pitta.
If you took the test that was linked in Part Two, you will be able to tell what your primary Dosha is.
If your primary Dosha is Pitta then you will usually have some of the following qualities:
- A medium build
- Thin/thinning hair
- Warm body
- Good digestion
You will be intelligent, and great at making decisions. Perhaps even a teacher.
Sometimes our Doshas will become unbalanced, for many reasons including life changes, or stress for example.
Signs of an imbalance in Pitta would be :
- Argumentative
- Indigestion
- Feeling too hot
- Skin rashes
To help keep your Pitta in balance, you could try a few of the following things:
- Balance activity with lots of rest.
- Cool Vegetables like Cucumber
- Spend time in nature
- Enjoy laughter.
*Please don’t just take my word for it, I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, don’t change your lifestyle drastically without professional help.
