So the day after I wrote this week’s Wednesday Wisdom, I was walking back from lunch and found a £5 note on the ground outside my place of work.

My first thought was

” Did someone nearby drop it?”

Then I thought about handing it in at the reception of my work place.

Then I came to the conclusion that it was a gift for me, and that I was meant to find it.

If you are so inclined, well known communication from Angels or spirits come in the form of Angel Numbers, feathers and also money. (usually coins)

I am trying to be much more frugal with how much I spend lately, and so this felt like a message of encouragement.

However, I also have an on-going battle with recognising the value of myself –

Self-Worth.

It always astounds me to find out how much someone may value having me in their life.

Like many of us, I find it hard to take a compliment, and when I am outright told how much I mean to someone I find it hard to truly accept.

I always assume that I am someone it would be easy to leave, walk out on, abandon.

I assume that I will not be missed.

Underneath these feelings however, I do suspect that the love I have given to others over the years has been appreciated and indeed reciprocated.

I have a situation in my personal life that I am grappling with right now – whether or not to let someone back into my life that hurt me deeply.

Finding the money on the street reminded me of my self-worth, no one can take that away from me whether I let that person in or not.

It comes down to trust also, a friend of mine and I were discussing this the other day.

If you truly trust yourself to make decisions for the good of your self, there is no need to fear that others might hurt you.

Others sometimes do and will – but if you know your self worth, you can recover, forgive and move on.

It is no coincidence either that it was a £5 note.
