(All That Glitters – Wisdom of the Oracle Deck, by Colette Baron Reid)

So everyday I sit at my sacred altar, say prayers, meditate, do healing rituals – and pick one card from a few decks for myself.

A few nights ago, one of the cards I picked was the one above, and I knew intuitively that this was to be the card for this week’s Wednesday Wisdom.

This card comes up quite often for me, and I must admit my heart always sinks a bit when it does, as I am not all together always sure what it’s message is.

Sometimes my guides tell me

“Take off the mask!”

They explain to me that me and another are in the process of showing our true selves to one another.

This week the message my guides communicated was one of understanding that the only thing that truly glitters, more than diamonds, more than gold (as Sean Paul says!) is Love.

The message is one of understanding that although we may sometimes feel undeserving of love, or like we are separate from it, the only thing that remains true and unchanging is the energy of love – even if we cannot perceive it.

Like a jewel buried in a pit of soil, we can see love glittering out of the corner of our eyes, even at our darkest times.

Love is like a light that shows us the way to freedom and joy, when all doors appear to be closed.

So this week, I want us to look for the glittery love filled needle in the proverbial haystack. I promise you it’s there.
