So I have started a 10 week Psychic Mediumship Development course with the College of Psychic Studies in London.
I’ve decided that Saturday posts from now on will be a write-up of sorts, of the things I experience each week.
A mediumship development course, is not about learning how to be a Medium per se, but rather how to develop your innate mediumship ability.
Unlike psychic ability that many believe (including me) is an ability that we ALL have and can learn to tune into relatively easily, mediumship is usually something that people are called to. Though we all have the ability to connect with spirit, acting as a Medium is something that requires a lot of development and earnest commitment.
In short, psychic ability is about reading the energy of a physical being/object, and mediumship is about connecting to the spirit world, and serving as a channel for messages.
As an intuitive Tarot card reader I use my psychic ability a lot when reading, I literally pick up and read the energy of the person sitting with me, or tune into the energy of a person I am reading for remotely.
I do not need the aid of Tarot/Oracle cards to do this, I have read people’s energy my whole life without realising I was doing this, but I find using cards useful.
As a medium, I channel messages from the spirit world also when I am reading, and often times when I am talking on a day-to-day basis, and on this blog. It is these channelled messages that I use for the Wednesday Wisdom posts.
I never thought of myself as a Medium until I was identified as one by an internationally regarded Trance Medium.
So after getting my head around this, I enlisted on a Development course with a view to develop my gifts:
(ps..doesn’t the above blurb remind you of the blurb at the beginning of a Law and Order episode?! Ha!)
The road

So this week’s lesson came to me in the initial meditation that we do in order to raise our vibration for the class.
The tutor guides us on a meditation to meet a member of the other realm who will show/tell us guidance, or provide whatever healing we are needing.
She guided us to a road – to our left was our past, the road itself was our present, and to the right was our future.
She asked us to wait for what Being would meet us on the road, and allow that Being to take us where we needed.
I was joined by an Angel, who took me in the direction of my future.
He showed me all the abundance that was waiting for me there, in the symbolic form of a market place at harvest time.
Apples were rolling off carts, the place was bustling and buzzing.
Yet somehow in the mist of such a familiar scene of prosperity, someone from my past turned up.
Or rather a person I did not know, who looked like the physical representation of many different people from my past.
I heard the words loud and clear:
“Do not try and take the past into your future”
Up until then, I was not aware that was what I was doing.
I thought I had made tremendous leaps and bounds into doing things differently.
The message was not that I had not, but rather that I was in danger of meeting the same people in my future if I did not take heed.

This exercise led to a class discussion about patterns, how we are doomed to repeat them until we do the work on ourselves, and learn to take different paths, make different decisions.
We discussed how this work is never ending, and that if we are serious about moving forward, the things we will have to leave behind are our ties not just from the past in this life, but ALL the past lives we have ever held.
This is not just in the form of people, but perhaps more often occurs in the form of behaviours, beliefs, and thought patterns.
Letting things go takes courage and sacrifice.
But there can only be a different future if we let go of past baggage.
This deep lesson about the past, present and the future is one that interests me a lot as a Tarot reader. Many people ask about the future in readings, what will happen, what they can expect – believe me, I ask the same things myself.
The answer is simple though, we are creating that future every moment that we are in the present.
Every time we do things a little differently than how we have done them before, is a step towards a different future.
Your fate does not lie in the hands of a psychic or medium, it does not even lie in the hands of an Angel or Spirit Guide, it lies in your hands only.
In your ability to hear guidance, and act upon it.
On your ability to be courageous and have faith.
In your willingness to break patterns.
In this way, the past, present and the future hold no meaning individually.
Our future can be the same as our past – unless we make changes.
This week, this class taught me that I was willing and ready to make changes in order to step into an abundant future.
Much love Txx
