The Yoga Oracle – Day 1: Take it Slow

So it is January and I have begun my usual tradition of following Yoga With Adrienne’s  30 Day Yoga Journey, freely available on You Tube.

This year’s theme is “Dedicate”, and so I want to dedicate the month of January to sharing with you the Yoga Practice I have done the day before, alongside an Oracle Card from my newest deck, The Spirit Animal Oracle Deck, by Colette Baron Reid.

Together, I am hoping these will prove inspiring posts to help us all transition into this New Year.

You can do the Yoga practice if you fancy it, or simply read the oracle’s message.

Yoga for me is about exercise, grounding and spirituality.

It forms  a large part of my life alongside meditation and psychic work – so here goes…

The Yoga Oracle – Day 1

Yesterday’s practice was titled Discern

What does discernment mean for you?

The Cambridge dictionary definition of discernment is as follows:

“to seerecognize, or understand something that is not clear:”

So in this way, the yoga practice was all about clarity – using all of our senses, including our physical bodies to make sense of our lives.

The oracle card I pulled for us today is:

Turtle Spirit is urging us to take it slow, here at the beginning of 2019.

The energies of the end of a year, and the beginning of a new one can be draining.

Family functions, and socialising can leave us all feeling a little tired.

Turtle is asking us to take it easy today, and in the coming days.

It is also fitting that this card came out on the first day of the Yoga journey, this isn’t about pushing ourselves to the limit by practising yoga everyday – it is actually about learning to be in the present moment on and off the mat.

True clarity can be found in this slowness.

Much love Txx
