Yoga Oracle 7: Know Your Worth

So it is January and I have begun my usual tradition of following Yoga With Adriene’s  30 Day Yoga Journey, freely available on You Tube.

This year’s theme is “Dedicate”, and so I want to dedicate the month of January to sharing with you the Yoga Practice I have done the day before, alongside an Oracle Card from my newest deck, The Spirit Animal Oracle Deck, by Colette Baron Reid.

Together, I am hoping these will prove inspiring posts to help us all transition into this New Year.

You can do the Yoga practice if you fancy it, or simply read the oracle’s message.

Yoga for me is about exercise, grounding and spirituality.

It forms a large part of my life alongside meditation and psychic work – so here goes…

 Yoga Oracle – Day 7

Today’s practice is all about the Sun and took the form of a swift yet gentle Sun Salutation practice.

This practice is about gaining clarity and perspective, as well as giving thanks for the life-giving source that rises everyday for us.

It is also about shining gloriously.

The Sun never shies away, even when clouds try and obscure it – it is always there defiant in who it is.

The card I pulled was Skunk Spirit:

This reminds us to remember our worth – much like yesterday’s message about self-respect.

I get the feeling that a lot of us are being pushed out of our comfort zones at this time.

2019 has started off with energies that are deeply grounding, but that are also calling for us to make some changes in how we show up in the world, and how we allow others to treat us.

The Skunk has presence!

The Skunk knows exactly who they are, and we are being encouraged to show this same confidence at this time.

Years ago, when I was going through a difficult time within a relationship, a colleague/friend said to me…

“Know your worth”

That was pretty much the best 3 words of advice I have ever been given, and I have never forgotten them.

Sometimes we want a person, or situation to work out for us so badly that we forget who we are and what we truly deserve.

No one needs to chase after anything, or put up with bad behavior – everything that is meant for us will be in our lives.

These things showing up for us will be teaching us some kind of lesson, and it is only up to us to discern what is good for us, and what is not.

Easier said than done right?!

Sometimes, deciding what is good for us and what is not, is virtually impossible.

There are many of us who find it hard to even get to the place where we know the difference.

Skunk today is here to help us understand that it all begins with loving ourselves and standing in our authenticity.

When we present ourselves to the world as who we truly are, it makes sense that those who will appreciate us in all our individual glory will be drawn to us.

If anyone tries to change who you are, does not like who you are, or questions your validity – well then, they are not the person for you.

Be proud of who you are, as much of the time as you can muster.

Remember Skunk when you need a bit of help.

Much love Txx.
