Spider Spirit

So the other night I found myself unable to sleep after spotting a pretty big spider dangling from the ceiling of the bedroom.

It was about 1am, and I had popped to the bathroom.

Upon my return to bed I noticed it, and groaned internally (and possibly externally). I CANNOT deal with spiders very well at all. Especially in the middle of the night, half asleep and vulnerable.

So after a stalemate, I picked up my duvet, a pillow, and relocated to the living room sofa.

Once there it felt impossible to sleep.

I ended up watching You Tube, and then writing a blog post.

This is the way with me.

I am one of those people who naturally wake up in the early hours of the morning, and I gave up a long time ago trying to get back to sleep.

During a course for Mediums and Psychics, it was explained that as sensitives, we sleep lightly, and will often use the hours at night to work on our ‘stuff’

I firmly believe that when I am woken up in the middle of the night for whatever reason, it is so that I can work on issues I don’t have time to do in waking life.

The fact that I was woken by a spider, was significant.

Spider as spirit animal is all about femininity, creativity and patience as well as deep and dark transformation, something this recent Full Moon will be helping us with.

Life is so synchronistic for me lately, it is a like a spider spinning its web, creating and creating delicate strands of wonder and joy.

But these threads are spun in the dark, and I often have no idea what is happening until it is ready to really bloom.

So spider came to visit me that night, to reassure me that my life is constantly moving in the right direction for me, no matter how it may feel.

Spider came to remind me that what I work on in the dark, will flourish in the light.

Much love Txx
