Yesterday I had my first day back at work, still working from home due to the pandemic.

I am slowly easing back in – one day a week to start.

Waking up early for the first time in six months, and sitting at my dining table with the morning sun – I genuinely felt so happy to be here.

Breast cancer could have taken me out.

I don’t dwell on this, but sometimes it hits me.

None of us know when it is our time to go, but coming face to face with the possibility is life altering.

I am so happy to live.
