Each Wednesday I will begin the day by drawing an oracle card for inspiration and posting it here.
With a few words from my intuition, I will give you something to think about for your day and week.
Use the card as a writing prompt or simply something to reflect on.
(A Change in the Wind -Wisdom of the Oracle Deck, by Colette Baron Reid )
As if by magic, this was the card that fell out of my Deck, whilst shuffling this morning.
I’m sure I’ve mentioned in previous posts, that the way I select cards for these posts, is to shuffle, and allow a single card to fall out in its own time.
So it was a pleasant surprise this morning, when the card that popped out, was totally in keeping with the last few posts I have written.
*I should also note that these decks come with guidebooks, I do not often consult the guidebooks. I read the cards based on my intuitive feelings and messages that come to me. Often times however there will be similarities with the message contained in the guidebook.
The card actually presented itself as reversed (upside down) when it came out, and I righted it, as I felt guided to.
In reverse this card is about resistance to changes that are about to, or are already taking place.
It speaks of the fear of being tossed this way and that way by forces outside of our control.
I placed it upright so that we could see the beauty in what it is trying to tell us.
*
The first point to note; is that the card is a number 12.
This is the 12th month that we are in now – December – and it is traditionally the time of year that we look backwards over where we have been, and forwards to where we are going.
New Year resolutions will soon be formed.
This card talks of a literal change in direction.
I always read it as a change for the better.
The Zebra is holding steadfast in the face of gusts, it has a surety that it can remain strong and able in the face of the uncontrollable.
He/She is facing towards the sun no matter what is going on around.
You too can do the same.
*
The Zebra is an animal that lives in community, like most of us.
This card asks you to look towards the people in your life that can help you with the changes you may be going through.
Gather support from your network, and give support to those who need it.
*
It is important to stress that in this card the clouds are parting.
The way out into the light often looks dark, the way that goes ahead often looks as if it went back.
-Tao Te Ching
Whatever changes may come up in the next week, days or months, know that you can handle them.
Know that even if it looks otherwise, they will be for the better.
Much love
