Wednesday Wisdom #38 – Walking Away

Each Wednesday I will begin the day by drawing a divination card for inspiration and posting it here.

With a few words from my intuition, I will give you something to think about for your day, and week.

Use the card as a writing prompt, or simply something to reflect on.

*I pick these cards at random, by shuffling a deck, and allowing a card to fall out on its own accord. Whilst shuffling, I ask God to show me what I need to see for this post, and all who read it. The message I give, may or may not correlate with the traditional meaning of the actual card.  It may not resonate with you, and that is OK – this is just my offering to you who reads this, it is sent with love and best wishes. Take what feels right for you, and leave what does not, for another.

(Eight of Cups, Black Cat Tarot by Maria Kurara)

Some of you may remember that the card that took us into the New Year was the same card as above, the Eight of Cups.

This is a card about moving into the new, and the unknown.

I don’t believe that it is coincidence, that we encounter this card again, as we sit in the middle of the year.

I have definitely been feeling a surge in urgency regarding walking away from the past.

I feel the 8 cups on this card are symbolic of the 8 months that have just gone past.  Did something happen in your life roughly 8- 10 months ago that left you reeling?

I feel that the next two months coming up will be when you finally put that event to rest, and when you finally will find those other two cups signifying fulfilment, and wishes coming true.

This could be in the form of a new romantic relationship, or anything that you have been wanting to see come to fruition for a long time.

The key thing here is that you will need to let go of the past in order to have that new beginning.

The cat in the depiction above reminds me of The Fool in the Rider Waite Smith Tarot.  A card of new beginnings, and the beginning of a wonderful life journey.

The Fool was the first tarot card featured on this blog,  in my first ever post,  almost a year ago.

Now, midway through 2017, we get a second chance to really leave things behind and let go of the past.

In the depiction of the 8 of cups above, there is a moon present.  In a few days on the 9th of July we will see a Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn.

The Full moon is always a time of culmination, and of things coming to light. This particular one carries a volatile energy in regards to relationships.

You may simply see very clearly just what is no longer working for you.

What you have had enough of, and what you want to see the back of.

This does not have to be a person, it could be a behaviour, a thought pattern, anything that you feel is outdated, and has served its purpose.

In Tarot, the card that depicts the Zodiac sign of Capricorn is the Devil

A card I always feel to be about restrictions, and danger and lust. The kind of relationship that you know is no good for you but you struggle to let go of.

It is magnetic, but can also be addictive.

Outside of relationships, this card very much signifies addictions; something that you feel keeps you in chains.

This week  you may need to walk away from situations that have you feeling like this.

You may need to walk away from arguments, and conflicts that have no resolution.

You may need to walk away from your own fear of change.

Know that whatever you feel you must walk away from, doing so will open up the way for a bright new beginning.

Much love Txx
